Thermadome Rooflight - Kerb Options

Therma-kerbs

Therma-kerbs are remarkably robust and thermally efficient. They are used in conjunction with Thermadome skylights. Therma-kerbs have an internal white finish and are manufactured from extruded white PVC-u. Therma-kerbs improve the general appearance of the skylight and are appropriate for most roof finishes.

Heights of Therma-kerbs are: 150mm, 300mm and 500mm.

GRP Therma-kerbs are also available and can be used with any roofing material. They are supplied with robust dome fixing and mounting flanges. GRP Therma-kerbs are insulated with integral 10mm polyurethane foam.

Special GRP versions are can be supplied in the following heights: 150, 300 and 500mm, with 20mm of integral insulation.

Alu-kerbs

As standard, Alu-kerbs are produced with a white foamed PVC-u insulating lining and are made from mill finished aluminium in an all-welded construction. Alu-kerbs are purpose made, fitting non-standard roof openings of any size. They are produced to fit all types of proprietary upstand or existing builder’s kerb. Additional external insulation can be applied before waterproofing.

Alu-kerb adaptors, collars and flanges enable standard sized Thermadomes to be fitted where a direct size match is not available. They are purpose made to fit any size or type of existing builder's kerb or proprietary upstand.

Access Hatches

A fully opening frame can be made to mount directly to a builder’s kerb. It can also be used in conjunction with Alu-kerb adaptors or Therma-kerbs in instances where the skylight is used for access on to a roof. Aluminium frames fit builder’s kerbs, and PVC-u frames fit Therma-kerbs and Alu-kerb upstands.

Telescopic struts are a standard feature of an access hatch, used to keep the skylight in an open position. Another standard feature is the locking handle, used to secure the skylight when closed. The telescopic struts are specified in line with the dome weight and existing conditions on site.

An insulated aluminium cover or Thermadome thermoformed Polycarbonate glazing can be provided.
