Thermadome Rooflight - Glazing Options
Thermadome skylights are available in bronze, opal diffused, clear or ‘Heatstop’ (reflecting up to 68% heat radiation) glazing. Polycarbonate Thermadome skylights have a minimum 3mm thick glazing. Acrylic Thermadome skylights use a minimum 3mm outer skin, with the inner skin width varying dependent on the size of the dome in question.
Thermadome skylights are available in triple, double or single skin construction. They are thermoformed from either acrylic sheet or polycarbonate. Acrylic has an impact strength 10 times greater than glass. Polycarbonate has an impact strength 250 times greater than glass and is almost unbreakable.

Condensation - Rooflights and Skylights
When warm, moist air meets cold surfaces, condensation occurs. The risk of condensation at skylight level is greater as warm air rises. Double or triple skin Thermadomes and Therma-kerb insulated upstands minimise the risk of condensation, as does appropriate ventilation. No guarantee can be provided against the development of condensation as temperature or humidity levels can never be controlled.
